Don't use internet votes as a cop out to making your own decisions. Do it if you think it's going to be a lot of fun, don't do it if you feel it isn't prudent, but don't do it because your friends told you to.
In any case, as long as it won't get back to your family and you want to, I don't see why not.

I figure, give thought to "why not?" If there is a really, really good reason, then don't. In my head, I cannot see a good "why not." So insofar as a vote goes, I vote yea, but my true feelings are expressed above.
